About The Alpine Geek
Brian Biggs A.K.A. The Alpine GeekThe Alpine Geek (a.k.a. Brian Biggs) graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from the prestigious Kansas City Art Institute in 1988 with a combined degree in photography and video. I have created dozens of websites for a variety of clients throughout the world, even one in China, but primarily in the Colorado area.

I've also worked for two television stations producing hundreds of commercials, as well as outdoor adventure videos, promotional videos and instructional videos. I also produce quite a bit of work involving the animation of still images, better known as the "Ken Burns Style" of editing. This method puts life in what would otherwise be a static presentation. This style is ideal for historical projects involving older photographs, or for productions on a budget. Read more about this effective style of production on my Multimedia page.

Geek History
As a resident of the Estes Park area for over 15 years, I have a great love for the outdoors and the local wildlife. I have been able to translate this love of the area into several productions I helped film and produce, including Climb Longs Peak!, Across the Divide, Coyote!, and many others. I had my own show for a while, called "Now You Know", where I served as on-camera talent and editor. Additionally, I was contracted as Production Assistant and Guide for a Canadian crew filming a piece about Rocky Mountain National Park, for the Canadian television series "Nature Walk".

I have been a computer enthusiast (nut) pretty much since the birth of personal computers, hence the "geek" moniker, and have stayed on top of the technology throughout the PC evolution. (My first computer didn't even have a hard drive, just two 5.25 floppy disks!) The transition to websites was a natural progression for me since it involves computer technology, photography, multimedia, and other elements that have attracted me to the medium.

Going back a little further in history, my corporate background included six years as General Manager of the Kansas City Merchandise Mart & Convention Center before moving to Colorado and the good life.

Dear Brian,
Randy and I would like to thank for the exceptional as well as professional job you have done for us. Our Web site is wonderful and certainly far exceeded our expectations. Our new website has generated at least 60% more business for us and we couldn't be happier.

Dear Brian,
I wanted you to know how pleased I am with the website you built for me.  I have never seen a more beautiful and well constructed website.  You used excellent judgment and astounding imagination in the concepts and development of the site.  Further, you did what you said you would do, only much more and much better than I ever expected.  Thank you so much for you professional product.  I will be more than happy to be a reference for you.
